But it doesn&#8217;t protect the back of the iPad at all.<\/p>\n\n<p>Several companies have released &#8220;smart&#8221; back covers, such the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ilounge.com\/index.php\/reviews\/entry\/switcheasy-coverbuddy-for-ipad-2\/\">SwitchEasy CoverBuddy<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/appadvice.com\/appnn\/2011\/05\/hypershield-ipad-2-cover-apple-forgot\">Hypershield<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xgearlive.com\/products\/catalog\/ipad\">Smart Cover Enhancer<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.simplism.jp\/en\/products\/ipad\/smart_back_cover\/index.html\">Simplism Smart Back Cover<\/a>. However these back covers aren&#8217;t cheap and, as far as I know, aren&#8217;t available in the UK yet so you have to add on international postage. Bah!<\/p>\n\n<p>But now there is a huge choice of cheap back covers on Amazon UK. I wanted a clear cover to show off the iPad&#8217;s Apple logo, so I chose the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/product\/B004YCHRPG\/ref=oss_product\">LuvMac Clear Solid Gel Back Cover<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/product\/B004YCHRPG\/ref=oss_product\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hang-out.co.uk\/hangout\/wp-content\/uploads\/clearipadcover-450x403.png\" alt=\"LucMac Clear iPad Back Cover\" title=\"LucMac Clear iPad Back Cover\" width=\"450\" height=\"403\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1135\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hang-out.co.uk\/hangout\/wp-content\/uploads\/clearipadcover-450x403.png 450w, https:\/\/www.hang-out.co.uk\/hangout\/wp-content\/uploads\/clearipadcover-150x134.png 150w, https:\/\/www.hang-out.co.uk\/hangout\/wp-content\/uploads\/clearipadcover-400x358.png 400w, https:\/\/www.hang-out.co.uk\/hangout\/wp-content\/uploads\/clearipadcover.png 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n\n<p>Less than \u00a310 including delivery and it does the job well without adding much bulk or weight to the iPad.
