| I'm an airline pilot. I learned to fly in the Royal Air Force, and flew the Harrier GR3/T4 at Gutersloh [IV(AC) Sqn] and Wittering [233 OCU]. I left the RAF in 1988 to join Cathay Pacific Airways in Hong Kong where I flew the L-1011 Tristar and Boeing 747-400 as a First Officer, and the Tristar and Airbus A340 as a Captain. I left Hong Kong in January 1996 and returned to the UK where I joined Virgin Atlantic on the A340 fleet. On the computing side, I run a wireless network of Apple computers at home and take an Apple MacBook Pro with me to work. |
I hold a JAA Flight Instructor Rating - FI(A) - for Single-Engine/Single Pilot with Aerobatic and Instrument privileges, and as a Class Rating Examiner, can conduct Skills Tests for Class, Type and IMC Ratings issue, renewal and revalidation.
I instruct and examine at Fenland Flying School (EGCL) but also help out at Thruxton (EGHO) with Pegasus Power. |  |
